Fire investigation

ESI’s certified Fire and Explosion Investigators (CFEI) determine origin and cause across the full range of incident types — residential and commercial structures, industrial facilities, vehicle and heavy-equipment fires, marine and aviation, and emerging risks such as solar panel and lithium-ion battery fires. Investigations follow NFPA 921 protocols and produce evidence-grade reports suitable for litigation.

Forensic engineering

The firm’s licensed Professional, Mechanical, and Structural Engineers handle the analysis side of property and product claims:

• Storm and weather damage — hail, flood, lightning, wind, and earthquake claims, with quantitative analysis of cause, age, and extent.
• Property damage — commercial and residential roofing, water penetration, and building envelope failures.
• Structural — failure analysis, building condition assessments, and post-event safety evaluations.
• Product and appliance failure — root-cause analysis from consumer goods to industrial machinery.
